Growing your following & getting found
Growing your following & getting found
Followers are how your appeals reach people again and again. This article covers the two sides of growth: bringing your existing people in, and getting found by new ones on Xerish.
What it's for
A gift is a moment; a follower is a relationship. The more people who follow you, the more of your posts, campaigns, and Funds land in a feed someone actually reads.
How it works
- Bring your own people first. Share your profile link and your QR code wherever your supporters already are — service slides, bulletins, email, socials. Quick Give lets them give in seconds, and a follow keeps them connected.
- Post consistently. A steady cadence of honest, specific posts is what keeps you in followers' feeds and signals an active organization to newcomers. Thin, dormant profiles get little reach.
- Earn trending. Engagement (gifts, prayers, likes) over a rolling 7-day window can place your content on the Top-20 trending list, which exposes you to people who don't yet follow you. It is earned, never bought — there is no paid amplification on Xerish.
- Show up in Discover. A complete profile with the right category and location surfaces you in Discover's filters, search, and map. Church Funds are highlighted in Discover.
Governing limitations
- No paid boosts. Reach is earned through real engagement and consistency; you cannot pay to rank higher.
- Discovery rewards completeness. Missing category, location, or recent content directly reduces how often you appear.
- No follower purchasing or gaming. Authentic growth only — manipulating engagement risks your F.I.G.S. standing.
Good to know
- The fastest early win is almost always converting people who already know you, via your QR code and profile link.
- Victory posts (celebrating a funded goal) are some of the most shareable content you can publish.
- Track follower growth and post performance in your Analytics.
