Platform Features
How recurring giving works
The flow
- You list a catalogue item. Named, priced, with an impact unit. See
launchpad/catalogue. - A Giver subscribes. They tap your catalogue item and confirm the recurring schedule (monthly by default).
- Each cycle, Xerish charges the Giver. Via the saved wallet top-up source (card or ACH). Stripe processes the top-up; Xerish records the Gift against your Organization at 0% platform fee.
- The Gift settles on the standard hold. Direct (non-post) Gifts settle on the 48-hour hold (per the H2 policy locked May 2026).
- Funds become withdrawable once settled. Stripe Connect routes to your bank on your chosen payout schedule.
Pausing and canceling
A Giver can pause their recurring Gift for 1-12 months from their wallet, or cancel entirely. You see the change reflected in your Recurring report. There is no "winback" pressure — per CONSTITUTION voice rules, Xerish does not re-engage lapsed Givers aggressively.
What you see
- Subscriber count per item in your catalogue dashboard.
- Projected monthly recurring based on active subscribers × item price.
- Recent activity showing new subscribes, pauses, and resumes.
Failed charges
If a Giver''s top-up fails (expired card, ACH bounce), Xerish retries on a schedule and emails the Giver. After 3 failed attempts the subscription pauses automatically; the Giver gets a final email inviting them to update payment.
Common questions
- Can I change the price of a catalogue item? Yes, but existing subscribers stay at their original price until they explicitly upgrade. New subscribers see the new price.
- Can I retire a catalogue item? Yes. Existing subscribers continue at the old price until they cancel. The item disappears from new-subscriber views.
- What if the impact unit changes? Update the methodology note and the description. Subscribers will see the update on their next receipt.
