Common Questions
What does Xerish charge?
What does Xerish charge?
Short answer for your organization: nothing. Orgs and churches never pay a subscription, a tier fee, or a per-gift fee — ever. Giving from a giver's wallet to your organization is 0%, always, with no exceptions.
What it's for
This explains every fee on the platform: what you pay (nothing), what givers pay, and where each fee goes under the two-entity model.
How it works
Xerish runs as two entities:
- Xerish SPC builds and operates the technology and billing rails.
- Xerish Storehouse is a 501(c)(3) DAF sponsor that holds giver balances, vets recipients, and disburses grants.
Fees fall into three places:
- Wallet to your organization: 0%. Every dollar a giver directs to you arrives without a Xerish fee. This includes recurring gifts. Locked, no exceptions.
- Wallet top-up (what a giver pays to add funds): a 2.5% (card) / 1.5% (ACH) SPC platform service fee, plus Stripe's own processing. These are additive and shown separately — never combined into one blob. Example: a $100 contribution is a single $105.77 charge → $100 to the Storehouse, $2.50 SPC service fee, $3.27 Stripe processing. The giver's tax receipt is for the $100 contribution only.
- 0.5% annual AUM fee on balances held at the Storehouse, deducted monthly. It funds Storehouse operations and is disclosed to givers at first top-up. It sits below the 0.6–1.5% typical of DAF sponsors.
The top-up fee is a service fee for the platform, not a payment-processing charge — Stripe's processing is always listed as its own separate line. The fee is never blended: a giver topping up $100 by card sees a $2.50 service fee and a $3.27 Stripe line, not a single combined number.
Governing limitations
- No org subscription. No church subscription. Ever. No tier, no paid features, no exception. Any contradictory copy in old material is a bug.
- Orgs never pay processing. Fees are carried by givers at top-up, not deducted from your grants.
- The 2.5% / 1.5% is on the top-up, not the gift. It is charged once when a giver adds funds to their wallet; moving those funds from wallet to your org is still 0%.
- No in-app purchase. Church flows are web-only, so Apple's IAP cut never applies.
Good to know
- The giver's tax receipt always reflects the contribution amount only — service and processing fees are never charitable and never appear on it.
- The 0.5% AUM rate and its next accrual date show on the disclosure row in your Financial Center.
- 20% of Xerish SPC's net profit is redistributed quarterly to Kingdom causes — see The Joseph Principle.
