Staying F.I.G.S.-aligned: what we look for

Every organization on Xerish has passed F.I.G.S. — the platform's vetting standard. Being on Xerish is the verification. This article explains what the four pillars mean and how to stay in good standing.

What it's for

F.I.G.S. is how Xerish keeps trust structural rather than cosmetic. There is no badge to earn and no score to chase — there is a standard to keep living up to.

How it works

F.I.G.S. has four pillars, evaluated as a whole:

  • Faith — a genuine, stated alignment with the Christian faith mission of the platform.
  • Integrity — honest representation of who you are, what you do, and how gifts are used. No misleading appeals.
  • Generosity — a posture of giving outward, not only gathering inward.
  • Stewardship — responsible handling of the gifts entrusted to you, with reasonable transparency.

Assessment happens at the platform gateway — the application you completed. Admission to the platform is the F.I.G.S. pass. Reviewers run the standard during application and on an ongoing basis.

Governing limitations

  • Binary, never a number. F.I.G.S. is pass / fail / needs-more-info. There is no numeric score shown anywhere, and there is no per-org "F.I.G.S. verified" badge on any app surface — by design. If you are visible to givers, you are already verified.
  • It is ongoing. Status can be re-reviewed. Misrepresenting impact, misusing gifts, or drifting from the stated mission can put your standing at risk.
  • Current standing gates auto-grants. Grant recommendations to you auto-approve only while your F.I.G.S. status and recipient agreement are current.

Good to know

  • The simplest way to stay aligned: post truthfully, report impact accurately (see the impact articles), and use gifts for what you said.
  • Keep your Recipient Grant Agreement and contact details current so nothing interrupts grant dispatch.
  • If your standing is ever questioned, you'll be contacted directly — see the suspension & appeals article for how that process works.
