Summary

The full privacy policy is at xerish.com/privacy. This is the short version of what matters.

What Xerish collects

  • Account info: name, email, password hash, phone number (for Organizations).
  • Profile info: what you publicly share on your Org page or Giver profile.
  • Financial info: wallet balance, Gift history, Stripe Connect identifiers. Card numbers themselves are stored by Stripe, not by Xerish.
  • Usage info: what pages you visit in the app, which posts you tap, which Organizations you follow. Used to power the feed and Discover.
  • Device info: push notification token, app version, OS.

What Xerish does with it

  • Operate the platform. Show your posts to followers, route Gifts to your Organization, send notifications.
  • Improve the platform. Aggregate usage data informs which features to build next.
  • Comply with law. Tax reporting via Stripe, fraud prevention, lawful requests from regulators.
  • Communicate with you. Transactional and operational emails.

What Xerish does NOT do

  • Sell your data to advertisers. Not now. Not later. There is no Xerish ads business.
  • Surface your specific Giving patterns to third parties. Aggregated platform stats are fine. Your individual Treasury is between you and the platform.
  • Pressure Givers based on their behavior. Per CONSTITUTION §XIV voice rules, Xerish does not create urgency, comparison, or guilt around Giving.

What Organizations see

  • About a Giver who Gave to you: display name and (if the Giver chose to share it) a brief note. Givers can Give anonymously, in which case you see "Anonymous" only.
  • Total Gifts and Givers in your dashboards.
  • Recurring subscriber count per catalogue item.

You do not see Givers'' email addresses, addresses, or other Gifts they made to other Organizations.

Givers'' data export and deletion

A Giver can export their full data history through Settings. They can also request account deletion, which removes their account and de-identifies their Gift history (the Gift amounts remain in your historical totals, but the linkage to the Giver is severed).

Doctrine

The doctrine here is that Givers are not the product. Xerish is funded by transparent top-up fees and voluntary tips, not by data exploitation. This commitment is part of why the SPC structure exists.
