Policies
What you can and can't post on Xerish
The standard
Every post on Xerish must:
- Reflect real work. A post about something you''re not actually doing is fabrication and grounds for removal.
- State honest impact. Unit costs and unit counts must be defensible (see
launchpad/impact-methodology). - Preserve dignity. Photos and language must respect the people you serve. Suffering-as-spectacle is not acceptable.
- Match your Organization''s F.I.G.S. alignment. Posts that drift outside the doctrine your Organization was verified under will be flagged.
Specific prohibitions
- No fabricated stories. Composite stories are acceptable if labeled as such; invented details are not.
- No images of minors without guardian consent. Default to consent in writing.
- No exploitative imagery. Photos that strip dignity from the subject (graphic suffering, captures of crisis without consent) will be removed.
- No medical or legal advice. A post that tells Givers what to do medically or legally is out of bounds for the platform.
- No partisan political content. Xerish hosts work across political lines and does not host partisan messaging.
- No solicitation of off-platform Gifts. A post that asks Givers to Give outside Xerish defeats the platform''s ability to track impact and protect Givers.
- No misleading impact claims. "$1 = one meal" had better be backed by real numbers, or the methodology note had better explain the model honestly.
What happens on violation
- First violation: the post is removed and you receive a note explaining why. Your Organization status is unchanged.
- Pattern of violations: F.I.G.S. status moves to needs-more-info. The review team reaches out.
- Severe violation (fraud, dignity, safety): the post is removed immediately and your Organization may be suspended pending review.
Reporting
Givers can report a post they believe violates the policy. Reports go to the abuse@xerish.com queue and are triaged within 4 business hours.
Doctrine
This policy follows CONSTITUTION §IV (F.I.G.S. binary standard). It is enforced by Xerish admin, not by an automated content moderation system. Real humans review every flagged post.
